Wire problem

Hi,
I have a 61 Nash Metroplitan and and have a problem. I hope you think my car is British like I do! Here's the problem. My tail light on the driver side is dim and the blinker\parking light on the passenger side is dim(front). I am thinking ground. I had to prove the vin and showed the stamp on the body for plates but had to sand it a bit to do it when I registered the car. After, I repainted it. Wonder if when I painted I hit the area of the ground. What are your thoughts?

Welcome to the forum! Say earth instead of ground and it's British enough for me. And yes that's always a good place to start. Good Luck and again, Welcome

It certainly sounds like a grounding problem. Typically on British cars, you will have a ground wire at each of the four corners. Double check your connections at each light receptacle and trace it to where it grounds to an inner fender or similar area. Make sure all the connections are clean and well connected on the wire and wherever it's fastened to the chassis.
