Winter fun flying

Excellent! From the colour/position of the wing strut, looks like a J-3 (or modern variant).

Here's me with our ~Winter Flyer~ a few years back.

Sadly, this plane was destroyed when a student crashed it (he survived).

I bet the two guys in the Cub were cold.

Darn. Glad he's ok, hate to see a cub get crunched.

I was invited to the winter fly-in in Oshkosh several years ago but never made it up.

It's a kit. They sell a solid blank and you carve away what isn't needed. Hard work in the snow though.
