I've removed the old window. Not too bad. I've got a full replacement frame that someone gave me. I decided to change out the center bar and mirror attachment and here is where the problem started. The center rod from my original window (OW) does not fit in the Replacement Window (RW) is shorter. I measured the top of frame on OW and it's 13.25". The RW is 13.75". My assumptions are that that RW was from and earlier car based on the mirror bracket.

Did MG have different height windows?

Does anyone think I will have problems installing the taller RW into my car?

Do you think it may not line up with the header rail or my hardtop properly?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Thanks
Vince

Are there mounts for the rear view mirror? The earlier rods are thicker and use a different nut to mount. If I remember right it was slightly longer than the later one.

I have an early windshild frame in a later car and other than swapping out the rod and rod nut for the earlier one everything else fit perfectly.
