Windwings..what do you think?

My 100-6 came with a set of windwings. It has been over two years since I got my Healey and they are still covered with the paper-tape. I assume a good soaking with warm water in the tub will get the paper-tape off. Has anyone used them? From the pictures I have seen with them they look pretty good but I doubt if they ever were an original option. What is the general impression as to how they look and effective they are? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I have a BT7 that we drive to 7 or 8 regional show/Conclaves a year with the top down as much as possible. The windwings are great for us. I would guess if the car is used more for in town/non highway miles they would be less useful.

I think you'll find that paper peels off -- I doubt that soaking is necessary or will help.
