My system is not working and I will begin examining it this week. The pump is easily accessible, but I am worried about the tubing going to the jets and the jets themselves. How are they accessed?

somebody must know something, come on, tell me the truth, I can take it.

If you can get all way up under dash they are....its a lot easier with dash out though

If you had a leak you would know about it, so I would suggest that your tubes are not a problem. Most likely suspect is the pump, mine has packed up as well. If you have a compressor, blow through the pipes, and that will clear out the nozzles too. Put your mind at rest.

pump is making noise, removed the line out of the pump and it was not pumping.

Is there an inexpensive generic pump available at Napa or Autozone that may work as a replacement? I hate to spend 18 dollars and then add on the shipping of another 7.

If you need to replace the pump, Western Auto has a $14.99 replacement.

NAPA, Advance Auto and AutoZone have similar universal replacements.

Where did you find the $18 pump and $7 shipping?

Tom

Yup...go universal....mine is a Japanese brand and even fits the original circular bracket and has the right kind of spade connectors to fit directly into my new wiring harness. Got it from my local Brit parts supplier but was some universal type brand.

did just that and it works like a charm. Autozone. Some slight movement of the bolt holes so it would fit but no big deal. Thanks for all the help, thank goodness there was not a blockage in the line or nozzel.
