T-Series Windshield Washer Switch Spring

I finally got the steering wheel off The 1979 with much effort (thanks to all of you for your kind assistance) and the turn signal light dimmer switch was broken.

Along the way, I let the windshield washer switch come apart and now I can't figure out how to put the spring back in. This spring is the one that keeps tension on the lever so that it stays in a particular position.

The contact and the spring on the end of the switch are obvious so I don't need help with that one other than if you have a suggestion on how to put it in it would be helpful.

I have tried to figure it out to no avail. If anyone knows how this goes back together it would save me the cost of a new one.

Thanks,

Scot Stern
