MGB WINDSHIELD TO BODY SEAL & VENT WINDOWS '79 MGB

Sorry, but being new to this type car and wanting to learn all I can the first time I thought to ask.
I need to replace the seal between windshield and body, who makes the correct seal and is it hard to replace?

Also both vent window frames are broken at the top corner where upright and angled pieces meet. Is this common? It looks as though I will need the entire frame which is also the side window tract, correct? Where do you get these from?

ves - it takes 2 men & a boy to replace the windshield of a B roadster! Take it to a glass shop!

On the vent windows, no that's not normal...I have lots of goos used ones for sale...contact me off-bbs
 
I replaced the seal on my 78 B a few years ago. No need to replace the glass, just remove the windshield frame. The biggest pain is removing the frame; it's easier if you pull the dash off, but with enough u-joints, you can do it.
The biggest challenge it sliding the new seal in the channel on the underside of the windshield frame. I believe that Lindsey Hunter's "DIY guide for MGB purchase and restoration" has photos so you can see for yourself what you're getting yourself into.
 
Replaced the windshield a few times myslef.... always a real pain in the butt.. need to take the dash off just to access a few simple bolts, yet, to get the dashboard off, I need to take speedomter, tach and glove box out so tha i could just squeeeeeeze my hand in side to undo the bolts one micro turn at a time..

It is probably close to the worse job on the B..
