Windshield sealing

Does anyone have an idea how to seal a windshield? I have a small leak when it rains, at the top of the screen, where when i drive it pushes the water up and it leaks in. I contacted a few windshield repair shops and they do not re-seal windshileds out of fear of breaking them and having to replace it. I have tried fix all silicone but it seems to only last half a season. Suggestions

Silicon won't work, as you have noticed. Butyl rubber windshield sealant is the only thing that will permanently fix the problem. Getting the rubber to lift enough is a trick, especially if it is old and weathered. A slow and tedious tack, use a sharp flat tool to lift the rubber and inject the butyl rubber beneath. This can be obtained from a glass shop. Remove the excess with whatever they recommend. There is no reason for water to seep under the rubber seal unless it is completely worn out or poorly installed. Have you considered taking the glass out and re-installing it?

Me lifting the windshield is probably the quickest way to break the windshield, professional have no desire to do it... I will go to the local glass shop and see what they recommend...
