Windshield Installation problems

So far so good. Got the old posts off with very careful drilling and re- tapping the old screws. Got the new glass in. Got the posts remounted and now I'm stuck. The main gasket between windshield and body just seems to be too much. I don't think I can compress it that much. To make matters worse, the front lip of the gasket interferes with the windshield wiper posts. I think my issue is with gasket orientation or position relative to the bump on the body. Any thoughts?

Are you sure you have the correct gasket? My problem was the gasket would not make a complete seal -- water would come in under it. I had to add silicone sealant. Therefore, I'm surprised that your gasket is too big/thick.

Widshield to body gaskets have been a fit problem since day one of the aftermarket brand try another supply house like Healey Surgeons.?

Thanks for the lead. I just spent another frustrating hour and am convinced this is the wrong gasket. Thought I would return first to Moss and see if I made a mistake and if not try your lead.

I don't know about the gasket, but I'm pretty sure you're posting in the wrong forum. The guys in the Spridget forum will be more familiar with the gaskets that fit properly or any tricks needed to install it.
