Windshield cowl seal hot tip

I just installed one on my freshly polished frame in under 5 minutes without breaking a sweat. For the cowl seal I found that using Eaton Silicone Lubricant Part #71206 allowed me to get the seal on in less than 5 minutes and without breaking a sweat or breathing hard and I did it with a nice head cold going on. The stuffs a nice gel lube that didn't run and is a slick as I think it can get and its made for use on rubber. One of the local crop dusters/A&P gave me a tube and warned me that it was super slick after they tried using it to mount tires on the crop duster and had major problems with the tires rotating on the rim at touch down.

I placed some on both side of the first foot of the seal where it rides in the channel and then placed some in the channel itself till about 1/2 way across the lower frame and the seal slid right in with very little effort.

In past I've posted the Eaton silicone lube trick with part #71203. Slicker'n owl poop.
