Does anyone have any idea how the windscreen hooks are attached to the windscreen on my bj8?
looks like they are riveted but I can't see how you get access to form the end of the rivet inside the side arm frame. Also the space is very limited due to the metal spacer bar.
The supplier sell the hooks but not the rivets to fix them in place?

Have you contacted SC Parts, they show them on their web Catalogue but you have to contact them for a quote - this possibly means that they don't have them, but you can't tell unless you try.

It looks as if SC and Moss show the part in their illustrations but do not stock them. I imagine its just standard rivet that can be picked up from a fasteners supplier. It would be good to know what type and how it can be installed.

Still searching for any help on how to fix the windscreen hooks?
Has anyone had to do this on a restoration?

I got mine from British Car Specialists. I made new hooks from stainless steel bolts but I had taken the posts apart for rechroming. I was told at the chrome shop that dissassembling the posts would provide a better chrome job. This was a real pain in the you know what when it came to putting the post back together. I had to find a shop with a hydrolic riviter to replace the main rivits. I have seen posts that were chromed without dissassembly and they look ok. I believe you will have to dissassemble the post to install revits. You might try installing threads and use a oval head machine screw.
