Windscreen folding top hooks

I now have the windscreen assembly off the car and need to address replacing the hooks that the folding hood latch clips to.

How do I access the rear of the hooks to remove them? I assume they are attached by 2 nuts? Do the stations slide off the side of the windscreen?

Are you talking about the hooks that are attached to the windshield, if so they are rivited to the stantions. I duplicated the originals by using a piece of 1/4" stainless steel rod polished and re-rivited to the stantions. Now I no longer have to worry about chrome plating flaking off!

Yes, that is correct I am talking about the hooks that are attached to the windshield. Apologies, my original post wasn't very clear. What do you guys call a hood ? (The canvas folding top that keeps the rain out) I know you call a bonnet a hood. It's all getting very confusing.
The news that they are riveted on, wasn't what I wanted to hear. Mine are currently attached with large self tapper screws so it looks as if they must have been snapped off sometime in the past. How much of a job is it going to be to get that sorted?

I will check tonight and see if I have any pictures of the windshield posts apart and get back to you. I don't remember if you have to dissassemble the posts of not. I did as I had them rechromed. I will get back to you.
