Window winders

I'm starting to redo the interior of my '79. I've fabricated a new door panel (I'll post pictures when it's in b/c it really looks good, black leatherette and tan suede)

Anyway, I would like to replace the cheap black window winders with something nicer... Like the ones used from '62-70. Problem is the '79 has a hexagonal shaped mounting base that's about 1"-1.5" in diameter.

V.B. has "heavy duty" and "chrome" winders listed at $19.95/ea 10-820 and 10-821. But that's pretty steep for a window winder.

Anyone have alternate suggestions?

Late model MGB ones are the same (I think). Maybe they are chrome.

Moss part number 472-540. I think Tony could get you those for around $12 each. But you'll have to ask him for an exact quote. It may be a bit higher.
