I did it, I fell against a wind wing and broke the plastic part of the hinges. Anyone know where they come from, the hinges. Miss Agatha feels naked and it allows my hair to get messed up then the old ladies don't smile as often. LOL

A lot of the guys on the Cobra Forum buy their windwings from "Finishline.com" .It's a speciality shop in Florida. May not be able to buy bits and pieces only the complete set. Bob

These are nice.

Sprite wind wings

I have a vintage set of AMCO wings on my MK2 Sprite.

Bought mine from Alan (out of Rhode Island)... as I recall $60/pair delivered. He makes them.

I make my own too. I bought the metal hinges on ebay for 12.00 a pair. If you check on ebay UK regularly, they have the hinges occasionally.

I found a set marked amco with our car when we cleaned out the shop it was in. Didn't know what they were until I looked on ebay. They are pretty scratched up but I do have one complete set of hinges and the pieces that attach to the "glass". will have to look on ebay for another set of hinges?

Alan has contacted me, forgot that I had bought the wind wings from him some years ago.

This is the most amazing place. Wonderful friends.

And like a lot of people on this great board, he has a LOT of stuff (for sale). Nice guy.

Jack,
Could I get his contact info? I'd like to get a set this spring.
Thanks, Rut

He's at the "frogeye" email link I posted above (presuming the same person).

Mark,
Thanks, I completely overlooked the email address!

If they are not really gouged up, you can clean and polish the plexiglass quite nicely with cotton balls and a whitening toothpaste (the kind with the tiny abrasive pieces in them). Just use the toothpaste and a little water like a polishing compound until they are like you want them.

I use colgate whitening.
