TR6 Will TR6 wires fit an MGB?

I'm looking to "plus one" size my B's wheels. I'm thinking the TR6 wheels might work. Any ideas? I' would try it myself, but my '74 TR6 has steel wheels and my '69 B has wires. Let me know if you have any ideas. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/savewave.gif

Roadstr6, The wheels do have the same splines and will fit your hubs, but and thers's always a butt, the TR6 is 15 inch and the MGB 14 inch so you will have to play with the size tire to get in the well without having a clearance problem. Wayne

May be hard to find a BTDT but you could try to find a willing local TR6 owner with wires who would let you pull a wheel for a trial fit. Buy him lunch and don't make him come to your place and he'll probably accomodate you.

72 spoke MGC wire wheels on an MGB with slightly lower profile tires works well, looks sharp too.
Just don't go to overboard with the lower profile tires, if you get the tire width to wide, you will have problems with sidewall flex that will make the car handle like it has a flat tire. It cost me $400 to learn that once...

Get the size and profile right and you can have stiffer sidewalls and wider tred than with standard wire wheels without having to give up the wires.

They will probably fit a CB roadster. I ran TR6 wires on my 74 1/2 bgt for a few years using 185/65/15 tires. worked well and looked good.
