Wife's 1275cc engine help

My wife's little 1966 Sprite with a 1275 is driving me crazy.Today we did a big run about 200 miles it ran great a little smoke after idle down. The engine has some venting problems since the front timing cover is missing the vent but someone has vented the dip stick and valve cover to the pcv. The pcv sucks too much and draws oil out of the engine so I add a air compressor filter between the pcv and the two vents. Got home and the filter was full to the top with oil.I just did a cold compression test and got numbers like 190 plus on all cylinders and the plug all looked fine.

IDEAS??????

If the system you have is keeping oil in the engine I would find a way to Orifice the the dipstick vent down to a size that still draws but not pull oil.

Why not just put the system back to its original configuration?

All those defferent hoses & valves & "T's" going everywhere are just holding pressure in the engine instead of allowing it to vent.

You've just made a big loop pulling it out & then putting it back in at a different place!

vent that valve cover right to the stock PCV and get rid of the rest.
The valve cover is the highest point and no oil should get up there to get sucked in. If it does, stick a nut in the hose to restrict it a little.
A 1/2 hose will take a 5/16 nut (1/2" wrench) but the hole is 5/16.
Every engine is different when it comes to crankcase venting. It's trial and error.
I have had some that needed none, others were OK with stock set ups and I have one that has more holes and vents than a tennis racket

I will try that just to the valve cover. I want to pull the valve cover and take a look at rocker assy to see how much oil comes to the top.
