Why is my car making this noise?

I recently had a new fan belt put on my car and since it’s come back it’s been making a new noise when I start it up on a morning. The noise only happened on cold start and goes away after a little while. The noise it like a clapping sound. I’ll attach a link to my video of the noise (please let me know if the link doesn’t work) : > Anyone able to diagnose this clapping like noise my car is making? <

My car is a Ssangyong tivoli, manual, diesel

Any help would be much appreciated

Weird. It's a knocking or tapping sound, but not at the speed of the fan belt. Each time you start the engine, the same thing happens - a few seconds of "knocking" (like wood on wood), then it slows and disappears.

Doesn't even sound like a fan belt.

You posted your question in "Forum Navigation" which is a forum for asking questions about how to navigate this site. I'm moving your post to "Other Cars" since it is not a specific British marque.

It’s because you don’t have full oil pressure on startup…
