Well that should get your attention! Asked to say hello and introduce myself.

Tim O'Brien from Albuquerque, New Mexico USA. On the other side of the mountain from Basil! The above car is new to me, but not my first. As I said, I remember the car fitting me better in 1985 when I was about 60 lbs less (6'1" now and 240). Now I can still squeeze into this baby just fine, but I will not be making any cross country trips in it that's for sure. The baby pictured above is a 1976 MG Midget. 1500cc, 4 speed stock for the most part. The paint job is custom and one of a kind which should make most of you do a double take. Custom paint done in CA about 20 years ago. The car was in a barn for nearly 15 years here in ABQ and I have been waiting to get this car for about 8 years. The grandson of the previous owner was more interested in Model T cars so the opportunity finally presented itself and I jumped at the chance to bring it home. She runs a little hot right now, but I'm sure with help from this forum I will figure it out. Needs a heat shield on carb I think. Its missing that little plate and probably needs a rebuild.

Previous MG was a 1972 orange midget with chrome bumpers. Stock again, but was eating oil so I (the 18 year old idiot) sold it before I learned how to rebuild engines. I sold it locally so who knows maybe someone on here has it.

Me.... Well I am happily married to women who after 30 years still puts up with my little temper tantrums when I want something and allowed me to bring the MG home after I promised to clean the garage. That lasted about a week, but she still loves me. I'm a battalion commander with the county fire department so I hope to be able to drive this to and from work someday soon. Two great kids. One each, and they are both out of the house now which allows for more room for toys. We like to travel a lot with class A and this car also has a tow hitch welded to the front for pulling behind a vehicle so you may see it towed down the road in the future once I know its stable and running well.

Engine rebuild may be in the future over the winter if needed. Baby steps for now. I'm happy to be able to drive it around the block for now without it stalling out.

Looking forward to see others and reading issues on the forum. I am also on the FB Spridget account too.

Cheers- Tim O-

Welcome, Tim! We're also class A coachers; have a Jayco Precept 31UL, and we pull our toad, a Wrangler 4-door. We'll be in your fair city later this year. Hope to meet up with Basil and maybe you can join us.
