Other than Coker's is there a source for whitewalls for my TR3B? Has anyone tried the new portawalls that are out?

Thanks

Mike

I'm planning on a set of the portawalls soon. The VW guys like 'em. they say the 2 3/4 inch ones are fine. stay in place nice. any wider than that and they tend to come off at speed.

All of we old folk chuckled at the wording "new portawalls that are out". Ha, they were around when Moses and I were mere children!

I have a set of Atlas 2 3/4" on 59 TR3 and they fit and look nice.

Lou's right. Portawalls are as old as whitewalls.hehehe. There has always been cheap folks out there like me.
They are molded so that once they are pinched under the bead they naturally lay tight against the tire. they will bend to fit the "radial profile" at the bottom. Without a close up inspection it's hard to tell they're fake.

I ordered the portawalls and they look great. Easy to put on. Hardest part is inflating the tires.

Of course, with every new set of portawalls, you get a set of these free!
