I was looking thru my inventory of spare Bugeye parts getting ready to sell them and it dawned on me that I have duplicates and triplicates of just about everything. I wake up this morning to find a Bugeye for sale about 4 hours away from me for cheap, my wife at the beach, and my trailer hooked up to my truck...what's an LBC nut to do? Well, I bought it and will be picking it up tomorrow, sight unseen.

"sorry honey, it just followed me home!" well done and you can stay in our spare bedroom.

JP,
Im hiding it in the barn with the 2 TR4as and a couple of other items...out of sight, out of mind!

I won't tell her. Congrats. Getting closer with Bugsy IV.

I had to read this twice to realize it was the Bugeye hiding in the barn - not you!

You are living on the edge. Good luck.

Definitely walking a fine line here -- better you than me! Do send pics when you get a chance, and make sure you carve out a little space in that barn for sleeping. Just in case.

Haven't quite moved up to cars following me home yet, but have a number of completely disassembled bicycles hiding in the garage.

Don't worry, no court would ever convict you using the "Reasonable Man" standard. Lots of Bugeye parts + Bugeye for sale = Buy the Bugeye. It seems pretty simple to me.

That's why I sold almost all of my Cortina parts - that way,I wouldn't
be tempted to buy another one.

Woe is me, woe is me, sad and broken hearted...the Bugeye didn't have enough left to call it a body, the tin worm had eaten from bottom to top and front to back! I guess for $350 you can't expect much and the owner was very understanding of my reluctance. The car was truthfully presented, but I had a better starting point in my minds eye! We drove over to her Bugeye which she is currently restoring and it looks really good, just a few snags she's got to work thru. After lunch we talked Bugeyes and life in general...it's always great to meet someone from the LBC community and I have a new friend.
For those of you that visit the Triumph side of the forum I stopped by to visit with Marvin Gruber near Florence, AL. I love my visits there and always learn something from the Master! I also picked up a set of TR4a seats for my project and drooled over all of his project cars...got a really pretty MGC sitting in his shop along with TR3s, 4s, 4as, 250s, 6s, big Healeys, and a Jowert Jupiter! I hated to leave!
