...organizes this REALLY needs to do some marketing!

Just read about it on the Wedge list.

:driving: :driving: :driving:

Oh yeah. Forgot all about it. Too hot for me in the MG anyway

Janet and I participated yesterday, without knowing! Drove the B for a bit. Will take either it or the TR8 out this afternoon, and planning a drive on Friday.

Hmmmm?

I was unaware of British Car Awareness Week

But I participated anyway!

This is popular in New England with the Harness State Park event that closes the week out in CT. Too bad the clubs don't look at each others calendars because they staged a British Car Day at the Larz Musuem in Brookline MA the same day and it draw from a lot of cars from the geographic same area.

I went to CT for the past two years and can't attend either this year, but if I could, I'd probably go to BCD because my New England clubs are meeting there and it's only 45 minutes away.

But Mickey, I agree that it is poorly marketed. I only noticed it after I saw it on my Cape Cod club calendar a few years ago.

It's just too bloody hot for me in the MG, at least at mid-day. We should have a Florider edition in February. New England this time of year would be perfect though!

Sweet! I participated today! I just changed my Spits oil this morning and took my Mother-In-Law out for a spin in it! Maybe only 10 miles... so I'll take her out for a long drive tomorrow, weather permitting of course.

I'm participating...
Inside my garage...
It's British Car Transmission Repair Week in Minneapolis
I'll drive it just as soon as I can.

I saw a participant today. Wish it had been me.

It was really hot here today, too.

The sun shone... a bit. :yesnod:

Hot,James?? I suppose the temperature reached 20c,huh? :jester:

Stuart.

Aha. I participated but didn't know I was. Let's see on May 30th I took Agatha to a car show, May 31st took her for breakfast, Madrid and coffee followed by a side trip to NAPA for detailer, June 1st detailed Agatha and took her to get the mail, June 2nd detailed Onslow and the dreaded "Check Engine" light is on so today I took Agatha into town to meet some friends for breakfast which was followed by making an appointment for Onslow and his 'check engine' problem and then the grocery store and cleaners and then home. Tomorrow Agatha and Onslow will stay in the garage but Onslow will be going to the hospital on Friday. I am sure that Agatha will be out this weekend as she usually is. I am really trying to do my part for British Car Awareness.

And yes you are correct if you hadn't made this post I never would have known about it but then I guess I'm too busy driving my LBC's (I say tongue-in-cheek.) :driving:

Janet and I are off on a picnic tomorrow - most likely in the TR8. Sunny, with the high only about 80. Going to bring some wine and cheese, and relax at one of Tennessee's state parks. Nice road down there, with lots of curves and great scenery.

Anyone else?

What a fantastic day! Hope some of you had the chance to get out and enjoy as we did!
