Kelly Brickey here, Mountainair, New Mexico. I was in the Jubilee parade yesterday, and the car show at the Salinas Mission national park HQ here in Mountainair. I was near the back of the parade. When I saw the photos my spouse took of the parade, I was shocked to see a black bugeye Sprite! I have never seen the car before. Does anybody know who it is? I'm including a link so you can take a look at our little parade. It was quite fun, and my Morris actually took 2nd place, overall in the car show. Shocked and happy.

Gee, Mountainair is so far from anything it's amazing that a Sprite could get there without breaking down. More likely to be seen beside the road, far out in the desert, with tarantulas and buzzards picking at the driver's remains.

Looks like Mountainair's become an attractive little town. It was just a dusty spot in the road in the 70s, when I lived in Socorro.

Contact the organizers of the parade - they should have
the owner's contact info.
Wow! someone drove all the way from Idaho in that Morris.

Well, the Morris got towed about half way on a car dolly, by my 98 Discovery, till my partner's Caddy Deville blew a head gasket. Then it went on the dolly, and he drove the Morris about 550 miles. Britain-2, USA-0

Sarastro- Mountainair really is an interesting little melting pot, with a strong art community. We moved here from Boise Idaho, and I find it much more diverse. But it is still a dusty spot in the road.
AngliaGT- good idea, but he was only in the parade, not the car show. I'll just ask around.
