Good find.
I looked all over for a plain black gear shifter knob for my spitfire. After much effort, I finally found I could order a Dorman HELP brand universal Knob (part# 76933) from my towns O'Reillys.
The next day, I went to work and found that the boss had replaced the knobs on one of His Automotive lift. Exact same knobs- in stock at the local NAPA.
Sometimes, parts are NLA because they are common items. A 5/16-18 ball that fits the TR4-6 range also fits Corvette and many GM muscle cars, Hurst shifters, etc. A 7/16-32 shift balls is not and only fits the TR3/3A AFAIK.
