Who makes exhaust headers for AH 3000 BN7

I'm looking for tubular exhaust headers to fit my 1959 BN7 and cannot find a good source. Most parts houses only have the original down pipes.

Any recommendations where to find headers

I had to order mine from England. DW Welch. Fit is good, they did get close to the footwell insulation board at one point but I was able to work around it.

Jerry
59 BN4 with 3000 engine. (just like yours)

If you fit Dennis Welch headers I think you will have to cut away part of the front left outrigger to a similar shape as that on a BJ8 chassis.

I think Cape International and Ahead for Healeys in the UK both supply headers. Not sure if these require the cuttaway frame mod.

Al Kirk, in Hoover (Bessemer?) AL has done all the ones I've put on Healeys over the years. He was THE supplier to Sports & Classics, Moss Motors, and virtually all US sources since the 70s.

He runs at least two (>2) ads in the back of Grassroots/Sports & Classics, and other magazines for his rollbars, but he also does headers.

EDIT: Looks like he's moved to Mt Olive, AL. https://www.kirkracing.com/contacts.htm

I sell the best tubular headers for 6 cylinder Healeys. I cannot recall right now how to attach a photo to this post. So Email me and I'll send you photos. RM@richardmayor.com

Richard,

I got you covered with a picture of your headers. I was going to post this info earlier, but I thought you had sold out of all the sets you had produced. BTY, these are the best made headers available anywhere for the 6-cylinder Healey.

randy, it was about a year and a half ago we spoke on this subject, i got a set of headers from kirk as per your advice/information, i had to talk him into selling them to me, he was rather reluctant stating hed gotten sets returned to him not because there was anything wrong with them but because too many customers didnt know what they were doing as far as the install, the ones i got from him fit better then most parts that came on these cars from the healey factory. :yesnod:

Anthony: now that you mention it, I do recall.

Richard: I had forgotten about the ones you offer, or I would've said such. How many sets do you have left?

Dougie: that picture is obscene__should be X-rated!
