Who likes or dislikes the new Mini's interior?

Besides the kick @ss supercharger...I dig the interior styling of the new mini..

Anyone else find this a winner..or do some of you actually find it unattractive?

Love this car in silver with black top and 17inch rims...

The smile on the owners face was priceless!

I quite like the styling. It is not the old Mini for sure but with all the safety regulations that just isn't possible. The engines seem quite decent as well. The only thing I don't like is that they are loaded with luxury junk which drives up the weight and price.

I've owned 2 of the old Minis (an 850 with 1275 and a Clubman)...liked them both. The new one seems like a nice logical evolution of the concept. I sat in one at Britfest NJ and it was cool (and very different from ordinary boring cars). I sat in a friend's old Cooper S right afterwards....a lot different!

We bought a new Protege 6 months ago and I wish we could have waited.....we probably would have bought one with the strange CV auto trans. That's the only part of the new Mini I have some doubts about.

The car is great looking. The interior is good in all respects except some GM-lke plastic on the dashboard. I would like an S model, but my wife refuses to consider a stickshift and automatic is unavailable in the S.

I kinda blow hot and cold about New Mini. I like many elements of the inside, but some of it seems rather contrived, like the entire VW New Beetle. Strangely, the exterior looked fine to me at the auto show last winter, but the few I have seen in motion look awful. Strange, that.

i too sat in the new mini at britfest 2002, and was quite pleased with the car. the old mini its not, but i'm glad BMW is keeping john coopers legacy alive. the old mini(austin 7) was a groundbreaker with its transverse engine, and
issigonis designed suspension. and room for all your blokes. the new mini has the styling cues from the old one, with lots of gizmos and gadgets,(and a price to reflect that), but once you see it up close it can only be a mini cooper. nothing else like it on the road. i like the new mini and would be proud to have one. i would prefer the original mini cooper s though.
