Shaving cream makes sense for an extended photo shoot, won't melt off like whipped cream. Just like I've read that ice cream tends to actually be whipped potatoes to last under the lights and hours it may take.
 
Mashed spuds have been an ice cream substitute in product photos for decades. Plexiglass or Lucite ice cubes, shaving cream for whipped cream... many other "tricks of the trade" as well.

And Kayro syrup and red food coloring will make fake blood, in case anyone would want to DO that. :sick: :eeek:
