I think Joint Base Lewis- McChord moved behind my house.
I could have sworn those were howitzers I heard last night

Just starting here. Ordnance. Sounds like a fire-fight, mortars included.

Here in the top of Utah it's been relatively quiet. For the past couple of weeks we've had fires in the mountains and foothills, a few houses burned, and thousands of people evacuated at one point or another. I think even in town people are playing it a little "cooler." However, last night I swore there was incoming in my backyard.

Natives are restless round here. Plenty of activity around the neighborhood.
I hope they're careful, it's rather dry out here too.

I just returned from my mother-in-laws... she called about 45 mins ago to say she heard "loud banging noises from the garage".
I drove over to check things out only to find neighbors close by causing the "Kaboom's" by setting off fireworks.

Strange to hear it called Joint Base Lewis-McChord. I was at Fort Lewis in 1965 when they brought it back to life. We lived in the old barracks with coal fired forced hot air heat. It was then that they reassembled the 4th Infantry Division.
