MGB Which plug wires go where...

So this past winter I sent my distributor off to Jeff at Advanced Distributor for a rebuild and change back to points. He did his usual fine work, and I have a nicely rebuilt distributor back on the car. That's all well and good.

However...

In my infinite wisdom I neglected to get a photo of which plug wires go where. I've got a great shot of the old distributor without the cap (showing where the rotor pointed) but no engine bay shot with the wires hooked up. :wall:

So what's the easiest way to get the wires back in the right spot?

Line the crank at TDC on the compression stroke. Where the rotor is pointing is number one. Then firing order is 1-3-4-2, counter-clockwise.

To verify, TDC is piston up valves closed, correct?

Correct, just make sure it's #1 piston! In the pic you can just make out where plug wires 1 and 3 go (counter clockwise).
that's another of Jeff's dizzy's there (points in this case) ... he's the best!

Thanks, folks.

forestghost07 -- I went back to points as well (pic I posted is a "before"). Jeff did the dizzy in the Bugeye I used to have, was very happy with it.

Here's another one. Might help. Click on photo to expand. Sorry I don't have a larger shot. PJ
