As I am coming down to the end of this little 10 year tear down I have a couple of last minute things on my to do list.
If had a choice which do you prefer aluminum rack mounts from TRF (which says they sell one nobody else has) or
Richard Goods mount?

I just looked at TRF. Are those Richards mounts they sell. I know they sell other parts of his??

I've had the aluminum mounts from Moss for better than 15 years. If I were going to do it over, now that they have poly mounts I would try those. But make sure you run a good ground so the horn works.

That car has more grounds than a cell phone tower. (?)

One and the same. TRF has a close relationship with Richard.

I went from stock mounts to the generic aluminum mounts with the U-bolt that everyone sells. These cracked with a year. I then went with the Richard Good (via TRF) mounts and have had no problems. I stayed with rubber bushes.

Richard's mounts and a set of poly bushes. Less compliant, yes. A bit more "harsh" with feedback, yes. But when ya turn the wheel, it responds without ANY hesitation.

So you can put the poly or stock bushings in the mounts?
Cool
I'm not concerned with the extra road feel. I'm the one who wants to replace the steering coupler with a urethane one.

I went with the standard mount and poly, no problems and much better than the rubber. A bit of a pain to get tight, so the other mount might be easier on the knuckles.
