Which oil for Tranny/OD

Okay, I'm going to change the oil in my TR3 tranny/od today.
Trying to figure out with which oil I should fill it.

In the other post I did, people mentioned "non-detergent" 30wt, or 40wt motor oil. (Who actually makes non-detergent oil these days?)

The manual says 90wt gear oil.

I have 2 qts of SAE 85W90 API/GL4 Hypoid gear oil in my cupboard. Should I just use this?

My tranny is not rebuilt, and the OD has been slipping.

Thanks,
Sam

Like engine oil--everybody has a different opinion. In my Tr6 with OD I tried every oil, synthetic, 30wt, gear oil. I finally went with what the Roadster Factory use to recomend which was 50wt non detergent, that worked the best, both the trans. and OD shifted smoother compared to any other type or weight of oil.

I'm on my way to the store to find non detergent 30wt!
