TR5/TR250 Which clutch to use?

Country flag
Offline
image.jpgEariler I posted question about using Gunst throwout bearing. After reading some good info I now need help on which clutch to use. I have a good used Laycock clutch I first thought about using. The Sach clutch seems to be a good contender use well. Again digging into my stash of parts I find this new QH clutch and pressure plate it looks alot like the picture of a Sach. Please ID this clutch and recommend to use it or the original type Laycock with the Gunst throwout bearing.

It's a Quinton Hazell clutch from a company in the UK. I don't know anything else regarding their quality.

QH clutches seems to get a lot of bad press in TR6 articles, but I have had one for many years without a problem. Even the notorious RHP TO bearing has been trouble free.

That article makes me feel a little better. I went back with the laycock clutch and Gunst bearing. Will be a while before I am able to drive the car and see how it does. New rebuilt A type overdrive as well.
