Which choke cable should I use for euro 1500 carbs

I can't get the right one from overseas, VB shows a cable for 1500 and 1275. Which one will work? They show the 1500 cable to be 5" longer. Are the bowl gaskets the same b/w HS2 and HS4's?

I used a generic choke cable from my parts store. Used a bicycle cable for the go pedal.

1500 cables will be longer because the carbs are on the other side of the head..

no clue on the bowl gaskets

I got a new go cable w/ the carbs. What performance difference did you notice b/w the euros and a DGV? Any or the same?

The su's really opened up the engine breathing. The car revs quicker and pulls harder than it ever did with the dgv that i had. Definitely a real set of the pants improvement. The su's are much simpler and easier to work on than the dgv, and i like that. I am also running a 4-2-1 header and two inch pipe to the harley muffler. And a kent th2k cam.

You should be able to order a cable from the UK.

too much $$$. They sent everything I needed for then new but the cable. Why does VB list a choke cable for the 1500 when it was an automatic choke in the U.S?

I'm getting closer all time but I'm not in a rush.

because you can get a manual choke conversion - which I did. Of course then went with the SU - the 1500 cable is long - I have a loop in the engine bay to take up the length.

The 1975 year had a manual choke. After that they went, unfortunately, to the automatic choke.

Cheers

PS. When I changed to a single HS4, I used the existing choke cable. I lucked out because this cable (which I think is original) is solid wire not braided, like some are. This means I can pull AND push it, so I did not need to figure out where/how to hook up a choke return spring.

I have a cable in a '74 that I might try to use, but it's currently shoved under a freight trailer and it's hard to get to.
