Whew!..that's a lot of work

We took advantage of a beautiful Fall day to begin tearing down our B. Wow! That's a lot of work:
Dropped the gas tank, emptied and boiled
Removed most of the trim, lights and body decorations (including the stripe)
Removed the steering wheel and dash.
What a mess. I hope we can figure out how to put it all back.

Oh by the way...checkin git out underneath and it appear to have an overdrive transmission. Several of out club members have been telling us we need to go with the overdrive and it looks like we will. (Since its already there)

OD? Great score, that'll help to keep costs down.
You guys are sure a busy bunch tearin' down a "B" in a day.
Looks good Terri.

As long as you know where to put things back, you're in great shape.

Ziploc baggies, permanent marker and digital camera....plus I have an ace in the hole....it called BCF!!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/devilgrin.gif

Wow Terri! When you guys get stuck in you don't mess about! Are we aiming for the "VROOM!!" post in a MONTH?!?! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/devilgrin.gif

We are aiming for our first drive in the spring...remember..tearing it down is cheap and doesn't cost anything...its putting it all back together that slows us down...finding the parts.....waiting for money to pay for parts......waiting for parts...The good news I have my present season is coming (Anniversary (November), Christmas (December), Bonus (February), Birthday (March), Tax return (April), Drive!(May) /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/driving.gif)

Great plan Terri.

I really depend on my digital camera.
I have folders and sub folders on my computer, like this:

MGBGT -
- Engine
- Body
- Interior

Midget -
- Engine
- Body
- Interior

MGCGT -

Day 2....We are trying our hand at body work...I kinda like this. Its very similiar to working at patching sheet rock. The only draw back is that I won't be able to hide minor imperfections with textured paint.
