Where's Jack?

Did he defect?
I'm worried about him....

Jack's here! We went out to see Miss Agatha today - & he's beginning to rethink his approach now that he has a show car paint job....that little car is absolutely beautiful - even without the clear....they were wet sanding her tonight & shooting all the clear tomorrow...not one imperfection in that car anywhere (& Jack was down about 6" from the body going all over it)...tomorrow we're going down right after my doctor's appointment & eat breakfast with the painter...then, later in day we'll load her on trailer & Friday am Jack heads home.....he's at a hotel on Lake Guntersville tonight...tomorrow night we're going to dinner (after he goes through all my 948 heads with Vizzard's book)....did I say Jack's happy?

Oh great. Now we will be subjected to endless photos of a pristine Bugeye that a few months ago was a basket case on its way home from Texas.
I can't wait! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/lol.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/iagree.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/lol.gif...Jack said, as we were riding along in my pickup this afternoon, that he needs to go home & relook everything he's done so far - that none of it is up to the body....hehehehe

I'd love to have seen the look on his face.
Your painter must've done a job the photos didn't do justice to.

Oh, Jack's not posted photos of the finished product yet...all the ones you've seen were of the job in progress.

Mebbe we oughta start eggin' him about doing ALL the other stuff OVER again to "measure up" to the shell! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/iagree.gif

I think that would be perfectly appropriate, Doc.

"Cruel.... but fair." /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif

Egging Jack on would be fun, but I am sorry to say that Jack's worst work looks about 10 times better than my best, so I better keep my mouth shut.

he did spend a lot of time "making" and "redoing" things. I'm sure he is rethinking "original" versus "jury-rigged". Oh well to have such decisions!

Yep, but let get him to do unfinished stuff and keep what he has already done. It would only take a few weeks to do again (since its all fresh in his mind) while the paint drys.

hehehe

He's pro'lly thinkin' of ways to snipe all th' pillows outa th' motel to set Miss Agatha on for the ride home! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif

Doc, that is hysterical

hmmm whats that noise?

darn wish I had taken the bed spread and wrapped the doors another time.

Seriously, I wish Jack a safe trip home.

The real problem is the first scratch, yeek, I heate to think about it.

Just saw ☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼ to his hotel after dinner (& a tour of my friend, Henry Younger's garage & Corvette collection)...Miss Agatha is wrapped up like a newborn baby sitting on his trailer for tomorrow's trip home....he said he'd post lots of photos tomorrow night...

...oh, our painter told him to bring it back when he had assembled it & he would touch up any little nicks - part of his service!

That's some service!

I'll raise a glass to a safe trip home for Jack and Ms Agatha. Another Bugeye gets one step closer to the open road, always a good thing.

Well, Jack & his bubble wrapped Bugeye are headed for Niceville, FL! If everything goes as he plans, he'll make it in about 8-10 hours (he's taking it real easy with Miss Agatha, its about a 5 hour normal drive!)

Apparently arrived safe.

Can't wait fer photos!
