Where exactly is the engine number supposed to be located on a 3000? I have been looking all over and cant even find a place suitable. Is it a riveted tag or actually stamped into the block?

Riveted. Should be a flat rectangle spot just behind the waterpump inlet. Uhhh, and down a little...

Most are missing, as if they weren't removed prior to hot-tanking, they disolved. Most of the ones that were removed weren't put back on.

If you still have yours, it can be reattached with Parker screws.
