My (first)Wife & I are heading up the
Oregon Coast for our 30th anniversary the end
of May.
Where are decent,& affordable places to stay?
We have a '78 Datsun B210 that,if I get it finished,
we'll take,as it's 30 years old.Otherwise,she's agreed
to take the Cortina.

Take the Cortina and to answer your question, Too many to list.

I like Gold Beach and particularly Astoria

Doug, Go to Bandon Dunes,. Take the clubs.

All the way from Lancastrer Oregon to Redmond California is absolutely breath taking. You are not going to go fast on the costal highway {Mostly 40, 45, and 50 at most, sometines slower, a lot slower}. It`s all beautiful scenery, when you see a place that intrests you, stop and enjoy.

Sunset Surf Motel-Manzanita
248 Ocean Rd
Manzanita, OR 97130

Nice clean little motel right on the beach, stumbling distance from an excellent pub with decent food.

Not all crazy touristy like the high spots (newport, cannon beach, etc).

Spent a couple of very relaxing weekends out there when I lived in Portland.

Thanks - I've got a couple of things planned.
Haven't told her yet.The idea is to drive up the
coast (Oregon & Washington),& take our time.I'm
also open to ideas along the Washington Coast.
I don't know if we'll make it much past Gray's-
-Harbor,but it should be a real vacation.
