Hi guys - the '67 TR4a needs OD wiring put in. Is under the passenger side glove box on the center console the best place to mount the relay? Was that the factory location?

Thanks.

Hi Tom,

On my 6 I have a relay for mine just mounted off a tab on the backside of the center console on the passenger side.

Cheers,
Tush

Bentley says front Fender.
Shows what it knows!

This is for the 6

From the TR4 Manual

Fit the overdrive switch to the steering
column, secure the relay unit beneath the
facia and, using the cable harness supplied in
the kit, make the necessary electrical con~
nections as described in the electrical section

Turns out I already had exactly the right size holes there with rubber plugs. Did the factory do that?

Thanks for confirmation on the location Don and Tush!

Tom, are you bringing one of your cars to the Queen's English show at Woodley Park on the 18th? I'd love to see one of your beauties, if you're in town....

I can bring a car but it won't be a looker, they are all cosmetically lousy. Good match for their owner.

My TR4 and I resemble that remark as well Tom!

I'll have to check mine but I found this picture for a TR4A overdrive relay location (right-hand drive but I don't think that matters in this case).
