Ska, remember, there are NO dumb questions! I have not mounted my light yet but as mentioned above, it goes behind the e-brake on the transmission tunnel and there is a plinth available for mounting it as seen HERE. (Also available from other vendors) I don't know if there were other ways it was typically mounted or not.
