Where to buy bolts that secure door latch

Hi guys - I fixed a nasty rattle today by tightening two of the three bolts on the door latch mechanism (on the door itself). Yes, 2 of the 3 since the 3rd is missing. Gone. Vanished. See y'all later. It's out of there!

TRF lists them, but there are several types. My car is a 1974.


# 517148 - Screw, set, single-slotted head

#ZKC36 - Screw, set, cross-slotted head

I think the cross-slotted head is correct. (assuming cross-slotted refers to the "x" pattern on the bolt. Yes?

tdskip, FWIW mine had straight head screws and was built 12/1971. I have to assume they are original, since all six (both doors) match. I would prefer the pozidrive? or phillips-head.

I got all the fasteners for my doors, fenders, etc from GROVE COMPONENTS in the UK.
They have kits already made up for classic cars including Triumphs.
I think you are looking for the posi-drive screws... they have them!

Thanks guys - do you think the cross-slotted head is a long way of saying Pozidrive? My original ones are.

Tom- My '73 TR6 had the posidrive screws in the door latch and striker plates.
One more thing... if you go to Grove Components site and do a search on "Triumph" it will bring up all the kits for the Triumph.

5-speed is sorted out, it shifts sooooo much better, and the new GP hubs are great. I think it is performing better than when it left Coventry!

I just used SS phillips head that were the same shape
