TR6 Where is the Hazard Flasher located on a '71 TR6?

I am having problems with my turn signals and want to change out my flasher units. I replaced the flasher in the passenger footwell but that did not solve the problem. I noticed that the is a part in the Moss & VB catalouges called "Hazard Flasher" but their diagrams only show the part but, not its location. Does anyone know where this part is located so that I can inspect it, test it & or replace the darn thing.
I appreciate your help,
Hans

I have a 72 TR6. I don't think there is such a thing, but could be wrong. When you look up hazard flashers they show the seat belt buzzer thing. If that is what your looking for it is under the dash, just right of the steering wheel. I do not think that affect the turn signals though.
Anyone else?

Yes, there should be one somewhere. If you can't find it, try working backwards from the hazard-indicator light. Follow the Light Green/Purple Trace wire from the hazard indicator light to a connection on the hazard flasher.

Note that there is supposed to both a hazard flasher and a hazard relay that fires the turn signal lights. The flasher unit connects to the relay.

(Note: that wiring color is for a '71. The '72 has a hazard flasher, but, of course, the wiring colour is different.)

It is on the Drivers side engine compartment next to the horn relay.

On my 71 there is one flasher under the passenger side dash up near the corner of the firewall and kick panel, and the other is what was already mentioned---driver side engine compartment. I replaced both of mine with the modern electronic flashers--no more slow blinking.

Hans- I would have posted a photo but with the wiring panel ,it goes Bye-Bye

If the issue is flashing too fast, it may be that the wrong bulbs were installed. These things usually depend upon the resistance of the bulb filament.
