Just dug up my original bill of sale for my 56 TR3. $2,599.00 plus NYC tax, less $1,100.00 allowance for my MG TD Mark II. After two hard years including races at Lime Rock & Thompson, I traded it for a 57 Porsche coupe. Now my question - does that car still exist? The serial no. was TS 11009E and the motor no. was TS 10838. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.

Just to assist in your search -- a commission number would typically be in the format TSnnnnn with an L at the end if left hand drive and also an O if originally equipped with overdrive.
Engine numbers end in E.
So either (as was sometimes the case) your car was registered using the engine number rather than the commission number -- or maybe you have the numbers reversed and what you seeks is commission TS10838L and engine number TS11009E.
In either case -- not listed on Corey's site.

I took the numbers from the bank chattel mortgage. The commission number was not on the invoice from vaughan Motors. Bill Vaughan - what a piece of work. Had a showroom on Broadway. My TD Mk. II was parked at the curb and when I came out, there was a salesman from an agency next door trying to sell my car to a stranger. He motioned me away while he made his pitch.No sale.A year or so later, I took a Siata 1400 out from that agency for a test ride in Central Park. Handled great but it smelled bad, overheated and I couldn't get out fast enough. The salesman called it a Siesta. True story. Those were the days - and the nights weren't bad either...
