When were turn signals original equipment on Mk1 Bugeye Sprites?

The car I have has no provision for turn signals (no switch etc.) but it may have originally and is no longer on the car. My modified car has rear red lenses and front yellow lenses so I am not sure what is correct. Was a 1960 AH BE equipped with turn signals or not and if they were, what were the lens colors front and back??

Thanks for the input!

I'm pretty sure turn signals were present from the first car onwards. Clear in the front, red in the back.

If you are looking for a turn signal lever on the steering column you won't find one but the BE has turn signal's. The toggle in the middle of the dash is the switch.

Turn signal bulbs were different colors in other markets, but steve is correct on the colors for the US market.

It is My understanding that in England at some point in time people were required to use either amber lights or amber bulbs in front. For instance you can buy either an amber lens or a clear lens from Moss.
