read the manual...

So as some of you know I'm fuel injecting my Triumph. It idles, but I haven't been able to get the O2 sensor to work, so I can't tune it. All I get is an AFR of 10.1:1

I've spent a good portion of the last week double checking wiring, recalibrating, checking voltages and generally trying to figure out what I messed up. I'm happy (and sad) to say nothing.

In desperation I decided to read the manual. It seems the output from my sensor is configurable, and the default is wrong for my ecu.

If it wasn't both freezing cold and pitch black outside I'd be out there trying to reconfigure it right now.

As it is, instead I'm going to have a beer and reflect on another life lesson that I'm gradually learning the hard way...

alana, yes its amazing how these car designers configured them to have the vehicle prompt the owners to have a beer just at the right moment. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banana.gif

Ah, yes... read the manual. I try to that even before I buy something, just to get an idea about the product and what it can do....

and if it reads like its been translated from the Japanese/Korean/Chinese into gobbledegook I'm at least aware of that beforehand.... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/hammer.gif
