Spitfire Wheeler Dealers Spitfire episodes

Glad you liked it - Wheeler Dealers is a fun show. Some people get cranky over the short cuts they take, but hey, it is a TV show. Mike being unrealistic and "pushing" Edd is just part of the show.

Sure beats shows like "Pimp my Ride"... and much more realistic to the average guy than "Overhaulin'"...

I've seen a few of those. Not my cuppa.

But the Spit looked good.

What I liked the most was part one where the Spitfire was presented as the cool car that it is. The road footage was great. The show's dialogue is over-the-top and entertainment is the primary goal, but it is just nice to see something contemporary being positive about Spitfires and Triumphs in general.

Thanx for posting the link, that was great! I agree, it's nice to hear some friendly words about the Spitfire. They're great looking cars, and easy and cheap to work on, a great car to cut your teeth on. I also enjoyed the Jaguar XJS episode. I've wanted one of those Jags for years!

Thanks for the link. The Spit looked pretty nice. And where can you get a decent rebuilt diff for $600? I would definitely have painted that valve cover while they had it off though.

The Lotus buy-sell just made me drool. And a new interior for $200? Not perfect for sure, but looked pretty sound.
