I am finishing up the inner chassis on my 3000 and am now starting on the exterior body. Before I wrap it in plastic I was wonderring if I should paint the wheel wells with black chip coating. The car is red (photo 157 in the members rides section). We are leaning towards the black but I wanted some feedback. What do you folks think. Skip

I guess that you can paint it any color that you want. The original cars were body color. I personally think it would look better than black.

Skip,

I would personally avoid anything that was not stock as it would detract from the value. I would especially avoid any kind of rubberized undercoat or sealer as it is a beast to remove and will peel away sometimes after drying. Is that the same a chipcoat? I bet you are having fun seeing the progress...!!!

Skip - Is the color you have a Healey color? The picture looks as if the color might be metatllic red. If it is a genuine Healey color than I would also go with the same color for the wheel wells.
