I am finishing up the inner chassis on my 3000 and am now starting on the exterior body. Before I wrap it in plastic I was wonderring if I should paint the wheel wells with black chip coating. The car is red (photo 157 in the members rides section). We are leaning towards the black but I wanted some feedback. What do you folks think. Skip

Hi Skip,

If you want to show the car in Concours then I would paint them body color as original.
I have the black on my blue Healey and I believe it offers more protection from rust, etc.

restoring my healey 100M...healey blue/frame off- we are painting the frame and inner wheelwells blue, but using the antichip coating mixed with the blue paint to give durability and orig appearance...not concours, but many vintage rallies (colorado grand, etc) planned
