I was going to post this in the MG section, but decided to post here to reach a broader audience. I'm looking into wheel spacers because I want to ensure I have enough suspension clearance behind a set of wheels I recently acquired. The wheels I got have a +40mm offset (ET40). I've read it's recommended to use a +25mm offset for 15x5.5/15x6 wheels on an MGB. I am considering the use of wheel spacers to reduce the wheel offset.
I've noticed that there are different styles of spacers out there: Slip fit types that just slide on over the existing wheel bolts, and then there's the bolt on spacer.
Is one type better than the other type?
thanks
