Wheel gap

Since I rebuilt mt TR6 rear suspension, I've fixed the gross negative camber and it's great however I now don't like the way the tire doesn't fill the wheel well.
I have the DPO's Pirelli P8's 185-65R15 tires on there and I'm fixing to replace them with something bigger. I seem to remember someone indicating that a 205-75R15 can be fitted without any problem on stock rims and no rubbing anywhere, seems like that would fill the wheel well a lot better, any thoughts appreciated. I'll try to include a picture of my current setup if I can figure it out.

I ran into the same problem when restoring my car. I run 205-60's that left it looking like a 4x4 conversion.
I purchased Goodparts springs that brought the gap to where I wanted it. They also brought ground clearance to 2 1/2" at the front sway bar.
There are other springs on the market that will reduce that gap. I believe TRF has some now that will lower the height from their original competition springs and keep ride harshness down.

They are TRF's stock springs. I don't mind the extra bit of ground clearance and the camber is close to zero now a great improvement. I think that the biggest problem is that the 60 series tires contribute to making it look like this

I have the 205/75-15s on my car with stock steel wheels and stock springs and they don't rub. I have the bolt-on tube shocks on the back and they don't hit those either. Having said that, I think that the 205/75s look like a little too much tire on the car. I think the 205/65s seem like a better combination and with the Goodparts springs the gaps look about right to me. YMMV

Graham,

I have seen that happen before. I installed the TRF stock rear spring because my originals with 53,000 miles started sagging and the whole negative camber bit.

I left the front alone with the originals in and the care leveled right out, I have equal distance between the center of the axles and the bottom middle edge of the wheel well.

I have 205/70/15 tires and I like the look as it is. Some like it lower, but for me this is just fine.
