HBJ8L/42154 is NOT an original Metallic Golden Beige car. The BJ8 Registry has the BMIHT data for all 553 original cars, and 42154 isn't in the list. I agree that KT seems to be doing his best to reduce the "rarity" of Metallic Golden Beige.

I remember the figure $143,000 which I believe included the buyer's premium. I was there, standing on and next to the stage photographing it. It was exciting to see a big Healey sell so well.

It was HBJ8L/34507 that sold for $143,000 at B-J in 2006. It was again up for sale at the Auburn Fall 2012 auction and brought $72,000. The car is now in Australia. That car was not an original Metallic Golden Beige.
