Just curious its an 80, 60k miles, all new brake system with stainless lines, new clutch, timing chain, weber carb, new exhaust system, tires, fuel pump, fireball ignition box, rebuilt distr, rebuilt clutch slave cyl, new battery, water pump, new interior, Cd player, custom box in rear, top is good shape, new connector onmost wires, no rust, paint buffed back to good shape, wheels repainted, repainted valve cover, new seals front and rear, all lubes replaced, urathane sway bar bushings, v8 bushings, everything works. Minor slit in driver door by mirror, and the trunk has a little bend to it where the bar is. But other than that its in good shape and drives well.

Just curious

Sounds like some good work has been done to it. To me, it all depends on if "no rust" is really no rust. (Body might not show any, but it could be lurking in sills or underneath.)

But I'd say in the $5,000 range, depending on where you are.

That is a tough call... but the $5000.00 is not a bad average. I will tell you a couple of stories...1) I bought one with 36,400 miles for $2700.00 six years ago and have had offers of $9000.00. and 2) I bought another for $3500.00 and resold it for 4200.00 about 8 years ago. Currently there are at least a dozen in my area in the 4 to 5 range. But I live in Dallas ( Good ole boy/ Pick up truck country) and I did live in L.A. where I could get 2 or even three times the price...if it can get through the california smog test ( depends on the year for that also). I also bought a Midget (76) with 31,000 miles for only $600.00 because the owner had stored it for 18 years after having the carb rebuilt three times at a cost of 250.00 to 300.00 each time. All three have no dents, no rust and never wrecked, no interior tears, had to replace all three tops and all carpets, original paint on all 3. there are pics in the link area under MG and in the background of the Jaguar area. So; the answer is ...from 600 to 8000 dollars depending on the look, the quality, and the market, I know of three that are near concours condition going for 8500 to 11000. Kelly Blue Book does not list them ( kbb.com ).

Didn't notice until after I sent the note that you are in Dallas also. This is the 5th lowest priced market (for major cities...and Dallas is actually one of the major cities) in the nation for used cars. So the market is great for buying...lousy for selling.
The tear on the door is expected to happen on most. The trunk lid bend is both a "dumb thing to do" ( but many owners have done it) and subject to non-British people doing it. In many cases a "friend" will be helping you with your car and "help, by closing the trunk" for you..."Ooops, I'm sorry, I didn't know it did that", would be the next sentence.

Yeah the trunk was done before i got the car. Oh well I still havent decided to sell yet but I will prob ask $4500 firm. Ive done a ton of work and this thing runs and looks great.
